Exclusive: Ray J Talks New “Bad Girls All Star Battle” Reality Show+More
Ray J adds another project to his catalogue as he gets ready to kick off his new reality show ‘Bad Girls All Star Battle’. The show takes 14 of the biggest names in ‘Bad Girls Club’ history and put them under one roof to compete for $100,000 and the title of ‘Baddest Bad Girl of All Time’. Kicking off Tuesday, May 21 at 9PM ET/PT on Oxygen with a 90-minute premiere, the 14 all stars square off in a series of challenges to see who will in the end come out on top. With that being said, we recently got an opportunity to speak with Ray J via. conference call where we got to speak with him about the upcoming show as well as other current topics in his life including upcoming projects, Teairra Mari, and even Rihanna. Check out a few excerpts from the interview below.
On how he became apart of the show:
Well, it was brought to my attention by my TV Manager, David Weintraub, and I’ve always been a fan of the Bad Girls Club, so I had a couple of meetings with Oxygen and you know it was just the perfect match. I mean, I was really excited and interested in doing this show, so from there, it was just pretty much kind of like building a relationship, kind of showing my enthusiasm, and you know everything worked out, and so I’m real excited to be apart of the team.
On if his bad boy persona and knowing bad girls got him chosen for the show:
Of course and I’ve been in a space that was similar to this before where I had to deal with a lot of girls’ emotions in one house, but this is a total step up from that. This is on a whole other level—the Bad Girls Club, the Bad Girls Club All Star Battle. I mean this has pushed me to the limit as far as my control, and my authority, and making sure everything was ran right. And they got the right instructions and they were excited to go out and win the challenges, so it was definitely a great experience for me.
On what is his description of a bad girl:
My description of a real bad girl is a girl that never gives up, a girl that is confident in
